Rare, Wedgwood, hanging jardinieres

A rare, pair of Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, hanging jardinieres. We have never seen hanging jardinieres in this small form before. Each one is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and they date from c.1900. They are both decorated with a band of classical figures and, to the underside is a border of stiff leaves with a fine, rope twist edging. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. There is staining to the interiors, from use, but both pots are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration. The chains are new, and have been added so that the jardinieres can be used.
