Small, cast brass skimmer c.1730

A small, early 18th century, cast brass, pierced skimmer with a circular end to the handle. This type of skimmer was used in the kitchens, for skimming stocks and preserves, and also in the dairy for skimming cream. This example is cast in one piece and it is in very good condition.
