Half Gallon Harvest Measure

A19th century, copper, half gallon harvest measure. This his made from quite a heavy gauge of copper, has castellated seams and a finger grip to the handle. There would have been an assay mark inside the rim but this has been removed. The front of the jug is stamped “No7 1/2 GALLON 17 UP TP 33 UP 0.3.1.” I have no idea what most of this refers to.

Condition: Slight pitting to the copper on the handle. The tinning, to the interior, is quite worn so it is no longer usable but it would make an excellent jug for flowers as it is still water tight.
