A super quality, Victorian copper mould with the “Prince of Wales Feathers” design to the top. This is stamped with the pattern number “627”. Although it does not bear the Benham’s mark is was probably made by them as this is one of their designs. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design is very deeply moulded and has excellent detail.
It is in excellent condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn and slightly flakey, so it could not be used.
