Sadler and Green Delft Tile c.1770

An 18th century, transfer printed, Delft tile by Sadler and Green. This design shows three figures, in a landscape, with a cottage in the background. The border is known as the ’88’ border and the tile dates from c.1770.

There is minor chipping to the rim but otherwise the tile is in good condition and the print is still very crisp.

Dimensions: 12.7cm. (5 inch) square.
