Steel chopper with heart shape in blade

A nineteenth century, herb or vegetable chopper with a shaped steel blade and a bronze handle. The blade to this chopper is an attractive shape, with a heart shaped cut out to the centre. It is made from sheet steel, so is relatively thin, and the shaping is slightly primitive in form. It is English and it dates from c.1880.

It is in very good condition with just slight pitting to the blade consistent with age and use.
