Villedieu "Serie Speciale" copper frying pan

A lovely quality, vintage, French copper frying pan. This is marked “ SERIE SPECIALE VILLEDIEU”. After the second World War the foundry at Villedieu re-established itself and started to produce copper pans, many being produced in a very traditional style. This is one from their “SERIE SPECIALE”, which translates as limited edition, and it probably dates from the 1960’s. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, in the traditional manner, with a steel handle.

It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.

Dimensions: Diameter of pan 29.8cm. Depth of pan 4cm. Overall length of pan and handle 54.5cm.
