Wedgwood, Ogee Form Jardiniere

A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip jardiniere of ogee form. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number ‘7’ , which relates to the size, and a workman’s mark. It is decorated with a continuous band of classical figures and trees and the reliefs are good quality. To the rim and the base there are foliate borders. It is in very good condition but there is slight staining to the interior and the base, from use.
