Set of Wedgwood Majolica Plates

A set of six, Wedgwood, green majolica glazed plates. Each plate is moulded with a sunflower design which is then dipped in a green, majolica glaze. This puddles in places giving a lovely effect to the design. Each plate is marked “WEDGWOOD” and they also have impressed letters ‘J’ and ‘F’. They date from c.1870 and they are all in excellent condition. There is slight crazing to the glaze overall but this is typical of this type of ware and is due to the nature of the glaze.
