A Shelley jelly mould in the shape of a swan. Shelley made five different animal moulds and they are all very collectable. The swan was made in three different sizes and this one is the middle size of the three. It is marked, in a faded black print, “Shelley” within a shield and it dates from c.1930. It is very well modelled, with the design on both the interior and the exterior, so it is both functional and decorative.
It is in excellent condition. There are two firing lines to the interior, in the head of the swan but these are from the manufacture.
