Deep, Copper Preserve Pan

A deep, French copper preserve pan or confiture. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and the copper has a slightly planished finish. It has the typical form of French brass handles to either side and near to one of these handles is a small brazed repair which was done at the time of manufacture. It dates from c.1880 and is in good condition. There is just slight marking to the copper in the base of the piece and a couple of very tiny dents from use.

Dimensions: Diameter of pan 36.5cm. Depth 13.8cm. Width across the handles 44.7cm.  Total height including the handles 17.8cm.
