An unusual, Spode pottery, toast rack. This has an impressed mark “SPODE” over a number “48” and there is also a blue , transfer printed “SPODE” mark along with a large letter ‘L’ also in blue print. It dates from c.1820. It is decorated with a blue transfer printed design which includes roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks, each of which represents one of the countries which make up Great Britain. 

It is in very good condition. There is just a little light staining to the base.
