A Grimwade’s Quick Cooker pudding boiler. These pudding boilers are exceptionally functional and were designed to cook a pudding from the centre as well as the outside, allowing for a more evenly cooked pudding which would cook in much less time. The exterior of the piece is transfer printed, in green, with instructions for use and the interior of the lid is printed with adverts for other kitchen wares produced by Grimwades. This dates from c.1920 and is in excellent condition.
