French Oak Board & Chopper

A useful, early 20th century, French oak chopping board complete with curved chopper. This is a good looking piece which would fit well into either an old or contemporary kitchen. It dates from c.1920. The thick board is carved from oak and has an additional section at the back into which sits the curved chopper. The steel chopper has a makers mark, which is the initials “C V” to either side of a cup, and the oak handles are attached by brass collars. There has been a little worm damage to the board but this has now been filled and the piece is in very good, usable condition.
