Very Small Copper Grain Measure

A very small, French copper grain measure with brass banding. This is very well made from a heavy gauge of copper. This type of measure was always made in a form resembling a drum, and they came in all sizes, but is unusual to find such a small example. This one dates from c.1890.  It is in excellent condition and would make a very attractive jardiniere.

Dimensions: Height 12.5cm. Diameter 15.5cm.  Overall width including the handles 19cm.
