A small, French copper preserve pan, with a rounded base, dating from c.1860. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper, has a rolled rim and very simply formed brass handles. It is possibly blacksmith made as it is not a standard form of manufactured preserve pan. There is very slight denting, consistent with use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height of pan 13.5cm. Diameter 28.5cm. Overall width including the handles 30.2cm. Overall height including the handles 17cm.
