A large, French, oval copper casserole, cover and drainer. This is a very good quality piece, made from a very heavy gauge of copper and having castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, French shape of brass handles to the sides and there is a flat, copper, strap handle to the lid. It dates from c.1860. It is complete with its’ original drainer and it is in excellent condition. All parts have been re-tinned so that it can be used.
