A small, English copper saucepan and cover. This type of pan, with the pouring spout and tight fitting cover, is now often referred to as a brandy pan but, in the Victorian period, they were catalogued by Benhams as saucepans. This example is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and has castellated seams. There is a dent, around the handle fitting, were the handle has been pushed in marginally, but other than that the pan and cover are in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 12cm. Depth of pan 9cm. Overall length of pan and handle 23.5cm.
