Large, Pewter Chicken, Ice Cream Mould

A super quality, large, two part, pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a chicken. Both sides are marked  “LG” in the casting. This is the mark of the French company Letang and the mould dates from c.1880. The interior of the mould is exceptionally well detailed and it would turn out very well. The two sides are held together by four brass pinned hinges. It is in fabulous condition. The exterior has quite a dark patina and the interior is in good, bright, usable condition.
