Fancy Crystal Storage Jar

An elaborate shaped, 19th century, French crystal storage jar. This is made from a heavy, quality crystal and it dates from c.1860. The jar has a flared rim and sits on a pedestal foot, and the lid has a tall and very ornate finial. Originally there was some cold gilding to the jar, which would have been a label for the contents, but this has now worn away almost to nothing. The jar and cover are in excellent condition.
