19th Century Copper Grain Measure

A very good quality, 19th century, French copper grain measure. This is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper. This type of grain measure was always made to resemble a drum and this is a very decorative example with tooled designs to the central panel. The banding both above and beneath this section has a planished finish and the handles are of hollow form. It dates from c.1860 and it is in excellent condition.
