A nineteenth century, English copper ale jug. This is nicely made, from a heavy gauge of copper. It has castellated seams up the side and a rolled seam to the base. There is a large, hollow, loop handle, a small spout and it dates from c.1860. It is in very good condition, with just a little scratching to the base. The tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could not be used other than as a vase.
Dimensions: Height 16.8cm. Diameter at base 16.3cm. Width 24.5cm.
