Benham's Copper Saucepan

SOLD

Code: J22422

A good quality, 19th century, English copper saucepan and cover with a turned wooden handle. This is stamped, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams and it dates from c.1860. This shape of pan is now often referred to as a brandy pan but, in the Benham’s catalogues of the period, they were simply catalogued as saucepans. This is a good example, made from a heavy gauge of copper and having castellated seams. There are a couple of very small dents to the lid and there is pitting to the copper on the base of the pan, from use, but generally it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is in very good, usable condition.

Dimensions: Diameter of pan 14cm. Height of pan 12.5cm. Overall length of pan and handle 34cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
