Large, French Copper Stockpot

A large, 19th century, French copper stockpot. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It has attractively shaped, brass handles to either side, and also to the lid, and these are attached by copper rivets. The handle to the lid is stamped with a number ’26’ which relates to the external diameter of the pot in centimetres. The piece is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
