Attractive, Child's Dinner Service

An attractive Victorian, child’s dinner service consisting of 57 pieces. The service comprises 1 soup tureen, cover and stand, 2 sauce tureens, covers and stands, 2 vegetable dishes, one with cover, 1 comport, 2 gravy boats, 2 spoon rests, 2 ladles, 6 graduated platters, 2 open vegetable dishes, 12 dinner plates, 6 medium sized plates, 6 small plates and 6 soup plates, so it is very comprehensive and almost complete. Each piece is marked with a pattern number ‘6909’ and there are some impressed marks on some of the pieces but there are no manufactures marks. It is English, dates from c.1860 and is possibly made by Ridgeway.
Each piece is decorated with outlined floral transfer prints to the borders, with a further central flower, and the prints are over coloured with polychrome enamels.
There is some minor damage:
One small plate has a short hairline crack.
One large plate has a short hairline crack.
One platter has a short hairline crack.
One of the vegetable dishes has a small chip to the reverse.
The finials have been off and restuck on the three tureens. All of the damaged items are shown in the last image.
All other pieces are in perfect condition.
Dimensions: The largest platter is 17.5cm. long. The smallest platter is 11cm. Long. The plates range from 10cm. diameter down to 6.6cm. diameter. Large tureen on stand 10.5cm high. Small tureen on stand 6cm. high. Spoon rests 7.2cm. long.
