Shelley "Westminster" Pattern Jelly Mould

SOLD

Code: J22686

A Shelley, Westminster pattern, pottery jelly mould. This is marked “Shelley”  in green transfer print within a shield, above “ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. The majority of Shelley’s main range of geometric design jelly moulds were given pattern names after London hotels and this is one of those. The Westminster Palace Hotel was built in 1860 and hosted many significant government meetings. It was demolished in 1974. This mould, like many Shelley moulds, benefits from a good exterior shape, for display, but also a well detailed design to the interior so it turns out well. It is in excellent condition.

Dimensions: Diameter 16.8cm. Height 7.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
