Rare, Copper Double Boiler

A small, French copper, double boiler. This is an unusual item to find complete as it is made in four pieces and you rarely find the pieces still together. It dates from c.1900 and is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper. The lid is stamped with a number “15” which relates to the diameter of the internal pan. The internal pan sits nearly into a rim which fits over the external pan. All have attractively shaped brass handles. The piece is in excellent condition and the interior has been fully re-tinned so that it can be used.
